The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has rolled out four Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Systems to reduce speeding.
The Town is deploying Global Traffic Group’s cutting-edge ASE system – the G3 series. This versatile system can function as a mobile, semi-fixed, or fixed speed enforcement unit. Being 15 feet off the ground and inside durable housing safeguards the camera, providing robust protection against vandalism. It is designed in Canada for Canadian weather.
“This pilot project is a long-awaited solution to help our municipality decrease speeding across our neighbourhood streets. Serving on Council for over two decades, I’ve heard many concerns from our residents regarding community and traffic safety – speeding continues to be the primary issue among our residents. Integrating ASE in BWG is an important step to ensure safer streets throughout our community.”
– Mayor James Leduc
The Town has combined its ASE program with an Administrative Penalty System (APS) using Global’s proprietary software. APS allows municipalities to enforce speeding offences administratively instead of through the provincial court system. It is user-friendly and efficient.
Global is also partnering with the Townships of Essa and Ramara, providing ASE/APS full turn-key solutions. Essa started its program last year, and Ramara’s starts this summer.
At Global, we specialize in establishing innovative solutions to enhance community safety and efficiency. With two decades of expertise and successful partnerships, municipalities choose Global as their trusted, innovative traffic enforcement partner. Our state-of-the-art enforcement programs seamlessly integrate into communities, offering setup assistance and processing centre software. This allows local administration to focus on creating a safe and supportive community.
